This is the Roswell alien conspiracy book whose narrative has come to be known as "version 1" of the Roswell myth, dominant until the late 1980s when other authors, attracted by the commercial potential of writing about alien crash sites, started producing rival accounts.
The Roswell Incident started the government cover up narrative and introduced the controversial second-hand stories of civil engineer Grady "Barney" Barnett and a group of archaeology students from an unidentified university encountering wreckage and "alien bodies" while before being escorted away by the Army.
